CMS Demonstrations, Presentations and Videos
Below is a list of demonstrations, presentations and videos for primaraily Web Content Management Systems. Please note all presentations and videos in this section are copyright of their respective owners.
Ektron
With over 7,500 customers worldwide, Ektron is currently the largest Web Content Management vendor and leads the .NET field with its WCMS. Ektron is frequently ranked by Gartner as among the leading WCM solutions worldwide.
Open Text Web Solutions Group (pka RedDot)
At one time, 'RedDot' lead the way for its ease of use, but since its takeover by Open Text is has been eclipsed by other pure .NET solutions like Episerver, Ektron and Sitecore. What will happen to RedDot following the mid 2009 purchase of Vignette remains unclear as shown in the earnings call with their CEO John Shackleton
Interwoven
Prior to its takeover by Autonomy, Interwoven was one of it not the largest player in the Web Content Management space. Like Vignette the market became somewhat saturated for its powerful - yet expensive - solution - and given its reliance on non .NET languages, it struggles to make headway in the mid market arena. It still succeeds in the Java marketspace along side products such as Day, Fatwire and Vignette.
TerminalFour
Little know outside of the UK, but with its recent move to open up in the US, like other European WCM providers such as Epsierver and Sitecore - it will be interesting to see how much global market share TerminalFour can take.
SiteCore
Another Scandinavian CMS provider that with agressive marketing tactics has moved from its central European base to the UK and USA. Though it does not have as many customers as e.g. Ektron, it continues to do well especially in bleeding edge .NET developer communities (though its less suited to mainstream .NET environments).
Alfresco
Whilst predominantly an ECM provider, Alfresco has a decent WCM offering and due to its Open Source nature and also the background of its founders being from the ECM sector is gathering a strong following as a credible Open Source product.Contribute
